Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to head next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then paid off his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each member has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer knows the region and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their status as key figures in the powerful family could enable the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This results in them little choice but to travel to the remote area in quest for the traitor.
